Finding the Right Hashtags

Now that we know what a hashtag is and why you should be using them, let’s discuss some tips and tools for finding the right hashtags for your posts.

1. Look at what Influencers are Doing

Looking at what influential travel writers, wedding bloggers, and even your local CVB are using in their posts can give you a lot of insights into what hashtags are working. And it’s also fairly simple and free: go through their recent social media posts and take note of the hashtags they’re using frequently.

2. Be Specific

Hashtags are a great way to drill down to niche audiences and should be lead by your content. For example, if you have a cute picture of a dog joining in the owner’s wedding use a hashtag like #dogsinweddings versus just #weddings.

3. Free Tool: All-Hashtag.com
