  • Make sure to compress your images before you upload them to your website. Typically you want images on your website to be under 250kb. Some large slideshow images sized for retina displays can go up to 350kb.
  • There is a balance of having a good quality, crisp image versus. the smallest image size for speed. The user experience is an important consideration.
  • In general, a JPEG file is the format you should default to for images.
