The first step to assessing the value of your directories is analyzing them in Google Analytics, but keep in mind there is always a story and this data doesn’t represent the complete picture. Other value includes:
- Unknown revenue/booking from phone calls
- Lost tracking – but Google Analytics isn’t perfect!
- The SEO (search engine optimization) value the link
Additional items to consider;
- Is your listing property optimized with current content, great photos, proper links, and is generally putting your best face forward.
- Analyze the level with which you signed up. Would you see more traction with better placement?
- Analyze your competitors. How can you stand out from the rest?
